Food for thought on here Kel. One quite good strengthening exercise for supraspinatus is to lie on your good side, straight arm behind your back thumb pointing to floor and raise hand about a foot and repeat for 10 or until fatigue. If painful might be better left though in case of muscle tear.

Ouch, poor bugger. lots of ice and brufens. Tore my rc in 2003 and had a bunch of physio but it still flares up every now and then.
what did you do?

Ahhh. join the crippled club. I have an ultrasound machine if you want give it a try. Also got a tens machine which helped with infllammation I had around rotator cuff. Just me f....ing spine to sort out now.
